Blue Poppy Garden provides environmentally-sensitive and sustainable landscape design services. This means we encourage totally organic gardening practices and adjust plantings to survive drought and increasingly hot weather conditions.

Our guiding philosophy is to respect “the genius of the place” and then to work with you to develop a plan that will enhance the natural beauty of the site. You tell us what you want and we will create a simple and pleasing design. This might include flower beds, a fruit and vegetable “potager”, water gardens, woodland gardens, rock gardens and planted garden walls, a formal herb garden or even a croquet lawn.

While “maintenance-free” is the impossible dream of every client, we minimize the need to mow lawns, weed and water flower beds constantly by paying meticulous attention to the soil and by creating naturalistic landscapes that require a minimum of upkeep.
